This is an estimate. The digital SAT is adaptive, so the same raw score can scale differently.

Beyond the number

Understand the range.

Correct answers are a starting point

Your score is not a percentage. The digital SAT turns your answers into a scaled score from 200 to 800 per section, and the conversion depends on which questions you answered, not just how many. That is why this calculator shows a range, not a single number.

Treat the range as a direction, not a verdict. If your estimate sits below your target, the useful question is not "how many more points" but "which kind of question keeps costing me points."

Module 2 changes the context

The digital SAT is adaptive. Your Module 1 performance decides whether Module 2 is the harder or the easier version, and the harder route opens the higher end of the scale.

So the same number of correct answers can land in different places depending on your route. If you are close to the line, Module 1 accuracy matters more than speed on Module 2.

A useful target is personal

A good score is the one that puts you inside the middle 50% of admitted students at the schools on your list. Look up those ranges first, then work backward.

Most students lose points to a handful of repeat mistakes, not to missing knowledge. Find the pattern, fix the pattern, and the score follows.

A little more context

Questions about your score.

How accurate is this SAT score calculator?

It gives an estimate, not an official score. College Board scores each test form with its own conversion, so real scores can differ from any calculator. For a prediction based on your own answers, take a full-length timed practice test.

Why does Module 2 difficulty matter?

The digital SAT routes you to a harder or easier Module 2 based on Module 1. The harder route reaches the top of the score scale; the easier route caps lower. Strong Module 1 accuracy keeps the full range open.

Why can the same number of correct answers give different scores?

Scoring weighs which questions you got right, including their difficulty and your Module 2 route. Two students with the same raw count can receive different scaled scores.

What is a good SAT score?

It depends on your schools. Compare your score with the middle 50% range of admitted students at each school on your list. Above that range is strong; inside it is competitive.
